Jahangir Mohammed, Founder and Chairman
Jahangir founded Jasper Wireless in 2004 and serves as the company’s chairman.
Prior to founding Jasper Wireless, Jahangir served as the CEO of Kineto Wireless, a company he founded. Kineto pioneered the convergence of WiFi and Cellular technologies. Kineto’s technology has become a world standard which has been deployed by GSM carriers in numerous countries. He continues to serve on the Board of Kineto.
Previously, Jahangir worked on a variety of engineering management and product development roles at Philips, AT&T Bell laboratories and Nortel.
Bruce Dunlevie, General Partner, Benchmark Capital
Bruce Dunlevie is a General Partner at Benchmark Capital. Bruce is a seasoned veteran of venture capital with more than 15 years experience in high-tech investing. Prior to Benchmark, Bruce spent six years as a general partner with Merrill, Pickard, Anderson & Eyre (MPAE). Before MPAE, Bruce served as general manager of the Personal Computer Division of Everex Systems, which he founded and grew to a multi-hundred million-dollar business unit. Prior to that, Bruce was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs & Co.
In addition to Jasper Wireless, Bruce's investments include Accept.com, Catapulse, Collabra, Encompass, Good Technology, Genesys Labs, Handspring, Matrix Semiconductor, Orchestria, Palm, Pure Digital Technologies Rambus, Raza Microelectronics, ServiceSource , SnapTrack, Tabula, Unicra and Wink Communications.
Bruce holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar; and a BA from Rice University.
Gaurav Garg, General Partner, Sequoia Capital
Gaurav Garg focuses on semiconductor and systems investments. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 2001, Gaurav was a Founder and Senior Vice-President of Product Management at Redback Networks (RBAK). Earlier, Gaurav held various engineering positions at SynOptics and Bay Networks.
Gaurav has a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
Mohan Gyani, former President and CEO, AT&T Wireless Mobility Group
Mohan is a wireless industry veteran. Mohan was the former President and CEO of AT&T Wireless Mobility Group. He has played key roles in the $1.6 Billion IPO of AirTouch in 1993 and the $10.6 Billion IPO of AT&T Wireless in 2000.
Mohan led AT&T Wireless domestic voice and data mobility businesses, focusing on completing the expansion of the company's footprint across the U.S. and accelerating growth, particularly in the wireless data business. He was instrumental in helping produce industry pacesetting growth in subscribers and revenue while improving profitability and evolving the business to mainstream next generation technology.
Following the merger of Vodafone and AirTouch, Mohan was the head of Strategy and Corporate Development and served on the Board of Directors for Vodafone AirTouch PLC. Prior to the merger, Mohan was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AirTouch.
Mohan also serves on the Board of Safeway Inc., Roamware (where he is Vice Chairman), SiRF Technology, the Asian Pacific Fund and Tellme Networks.
Danny Shader, Chief Executive Officer
Danny has been working at the intersection of mobility and the Internet for twenty years. He joined Jasper Wireless from Motorola, where he served as a corporate vice president following Motorola’s acquisition of Good Technology, which he led as CEO and president since 2000. Good created the standards-based corporate wireless messaging market. Prior to Good Technology, Danny co-founded and served as CEO of Accept.com, the first consumer-to-consumer, Internet-based, payment services provider, which amazon.com acquired and where he served as a vice president. Danny has also held executive positions at Netscape Communications and Collabra Software, and began his technology career at Go Corporation, a pioneer in mobile computing.
Danny earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from University of California at Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
Hatim Tyabji, Executive Chairman, Bytemobile
Hatim Tyabji is a distinguished executive with an exceptional record. Hatim currently serves as Executive Chairman of Bytemobile. Previously, he was Chairman and CEO of VeriFone (NYSE), where he grew market capitalization from $30M to $1.5B, and later served as Chairman of Datacard Group. Prior to joining Bytemobile, Hatim was founding Chairman and CEO of Saraide, driving the convergence of the Internet and wireless telecommunications. Earlier, he held several positions at Sperry Corporation, the last being President, Information Systems — the number-three position in the 77,000-person company.
Hatim is also a member of the boards of directors of Best Buy (NYSE), Depotpoint, Merchant eSolutions, and TAFMO.
Hatim holds a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.B.A. in International Business. He was awarded an honorary doctorate by the State University of New York. In 2007, he published Husband, Wife & Company: An Honest Perspective on Success in Life and Work, a book on the complex interrelationships between family and career.
